Carousel videos for films allows you to play the films trailer as the background, replacing the carousel background image. As seen on our demo site here: https://tvoddemo.shift72.com/
The video will autoplay when it becomes visible in the carousel on the home page of your site, and pause when its out of view. By default the trailer will be muted, and there is a Mute toggle next to the trailer / buy button. The trailer will continue to play whilst its in focus, and loop if it gets to the end. If the item is not in focus, it will pause and transition to the next item as usual. When this feature is enabled and utilised, we slow down the speed of your carousel to ensure users get to see some of the trailer before it transitions.
To add a carousel video for a film;
Make sure the film has an uploaded / ingested trailer (youtube trailers do not work for this feature).
From the Film information page in Admin, click Custom Fields
Tick the option "Use Trailer as Carousel Background", then click Save.
