On July 1, 2023, Google Analytics 4 is replacing Universal Analytics.

After July 1, all standard Universal Analytics properties will stop processing data. This means that if your SHIFT72 platform is currently configured to use a Universal Analytics tracking code (set on the Admin > Settings > General page), it will no longer collect data after July 1, 2023.

Am I using Universal Analytics?

If you are currently using Google Analytics and have a tracking code - If the tracking code is prefixed with "UA-" (e.g. UA-214172651-1) then this is a Universal Analytics account. If the tracking code is prefixed with "G-" (e.g. G-69B7EGJPZK), then this is a Google Analytics 4 account and you do not need to make any changes.

I am using Universal Analytics, how do I migrate to Google Analytics 4?

If you are currently using Universal Analytics, then you will need to follow Google's steps on migrating your account to Google Analytics 4; (https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/10759417?hl=en).

I've migrated to Google Analytics 4, how do I reconfigure my SHIFT72 site to use my new account?

Once you have migrated your account to Google Analytics 4, you will get new tracking code (will be prefixed by "G-" e.g. G-69B7EGJPZK). Once you have your new Google Analytics 4 Tracking code, you can paste it into your SHIFT72 platform's site settings (set on the Admin > Settings > General page) and click save. Once you have saved the new setting, your site will start tracking data via GA4 and continue to work after July 1.
